Ball cover is appears to be 3D printed in new condition, but does not quite cover the entire ball/insert for the gooseneck. I'm not sure how the 3D filament will hold up in the sun after time. I don't have past experience with 3D printing materials.

I just put this on my ball, and it snaps on well. It is made out of good thick material and is better than anything I have tried before. I can see how well it will work when I take it off and just screw the cap on the bottom so no grease will touch anything. The only difference from the one in the pictures is that the cap on mine does not have the outline of a tent trailer, which I am happy about. Mine is just smooth on top. Well done.

I’ve only used it twice so far, but I’ll say this is without question the best hitch ball cover I’ve seen or tried. It snaps on with just the right amount of resistance and stays solidly in place. The screw-on-cap scheme is incredibly clever and borderline genius. I can’t yet vouch for its long-term durability, but out of the gate this thing is 10/10!

For everyone that might not understand how this works, I made a video! And here is a description: the cylinder is CLOSED on one end, but the larger cap can screw to EITHER the closed end or the open end. So when you fit the cylinder over your trailer ball, you can screw the cap on top of the closed end for safekeeping, but when you remove the cylinder, the cap acts as a grippy handle to help you pop off the device, and then, to trap the grease inside the cup, you unscrew the cap from the closed end and re-screw the cap to the open end. Then you can just toss the device into your trailer without getting grease everywhere! Also, the device seems super easy to pop on and off. I wouldn’t say it’s a loose fit, but it’s definitely not as tight as I had feared it might be. Very gentle upward pressure pops it off the ball. A+++ idea!!!
